Biography

Ian Greaves is a British emergency physician and a leading author on pre-hospital and trauma care, with long consultant appointments at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and, historically, as a Defence Professor of Emergency Medicine with the UK Defence Medical Services. He edited the Trauma Care Manual for Hodder Arnold (2nd ed., 2008) with Keith Porter and Jeff Garner, and serves as an editor of the peer-reviewed journal Trauma (Hodder Arnold, later SAGE), which covers the multidisciplinary management of major trauma.
