Biography
David J. Harrison trained the Muir's editorial team on transplant, renal and hepatic biopsy interpretation while Professor of Pathology at the University of Edinburgh, before moving the chair to St Andrews. He co-edited the fourteenth edition of Muir's Textbook of Pathology (Hodder Arnold, 2008) with Levison, Burt, Fleming and Reid. His later research profile spans digital diagnostics, AI-supported histopathology (including the iCAIRD collaboration in Scotland), and systems approaches to tumour biology.
