Biography
Brian S. Everitt is Professor Emeritus of Behavioural Statistics at King's College London, where he spent more than three decades at the Institute of Psychiatry, including a period as Head of the Department of Biostatistics and Computing. He has written scores of books and papers on medical and psychological statistics, served as Editor-in-Chief of The Encyclopedia of Statistics in Behavioral Science, and co-authored the Dictionary of Statistics for Psychologists (with Til Wykes) for Arnold—an accessible reference that links definitions to examples from psychological research practice. He was a co-founder of Statistical Methods in Medical Research with Graham Dunn and Ted Holford, and served as its Editor and later Editor-in-Chief from the journal's launch in 1992 until he stepped down in 2021.
